WHAT A LOOKUP MAY SHOW
Identity, telecom, and risk data are different kinds of evidence.
An identity source may associate a number with a person or address. A caller-name source may show a short telecom label. Carrier and line-type services can identify mobile, landline, or VoIP characteristics. Risk providers may report abuse patterns or disposable-number indicators.
Aya normalizes those results into separate fields. It does not merge every value into a single claim, and it keeps source disagreements visible.
Caller label
A short CNAM or telecom label. It may describe a business line and is not equivalent to verified ownership.
Carrier and line type
Routing context such as mobile, landline, or VoIP. VoIP alone does not make a call fraudulent.
Risk evidence
Abuse reports, suspicious message behavior, or other configured signals that help explain caution.
WHY RESULTS DIFFER
Phone records change, and providers do not observe the same data.
Numbers are ported, reassigned, shared, forwarded, and used by call centers. Data sources refresh on different schedules and may cover different markets. Aya’s multi-source mode is designed to show agreement and conflict—not to conceal it.
When identity sources disagree, treat the result as uncertain. If the call matters, verify the claim through a known official channel.

- Distinguish a business caller label from a person-level identity record.
- Consider message or voicemail behavior alongside phone data.
- Report incorrect or reassigned-number results so stored copies can be reviewed.
